INDIA - NOVEMBER 07: Aerial View of Ranbir Club at Sangrur in Punjab, India ( This one is a lesser known club in Punjab. Located in the heart of Sangrur, once the capital of the princely state of Jind, Ranbir Club dates back to 1901 and is named after Maharaja Ranbir Singh who set it up. A crumbling archway leads to the club complex, which is spread over five acres. As the only one in town, the club has 352 members. It has two indoor badminton courts, a squash court, table tennis, a gym and a lounge restaurant. The entry fee is Rs 10,000 and members, mostly government officials and businessmen, pay a monthly fee of Rs 100. ?The club is part of the proud heritage of our town? says Indu Malhotra, the sub-divisional magistrate.)
