Indian Sikh priest Jagtar Singh sits beh

Indian Sikh priest Jagtar Singh sits behind the Sikh Holy Book - Guru Granth Sahib - as a 'Jalau', a splendour show of Sikhism's symbolic items, is displayed inside The Golden Temple in Amritsar on January 5, 2010. The ceremony was held to mark the 344th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh. Guru Gobind Singh was the tenth and last of the Ten Gurus of Sikhism and became Guru on November 11, 1675 following in the footsteps of his father Guru Teg Bahadur. Before he died, he nominated the Guru Granth Sahib as the next perpetual Guru of the Sikhs. This Granth is more than a holy book for the Sikhs, thus playing a monumental part in the development of the Sikh faith.
