The North London Mill Office hut near Alma, Colorado

The mill processed ore from the London Mine, which was known for gold, silver, and lead production between 1892 and 1942. Nolo is a nonprofit that manages the historic North London Mill site above Alma. The organization's mission is to preserve and rehabilitate the mill's buildings for education, recreation and the arts. The mill office was built in 1883 adjacent to the North London Mill, at the foot of London Mountain. It was abandoned for decades and in disrepair but Jeff Crane and his partner Kate McCory rehabilitated it using historic preservation funds and they have converted it into a backcountry hut.
