Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says a day after Justice Anthony Kennedy announced retirement that because Kennedy was independent minded and a deciding vote on marriage equality and a woman right to choose, a more ideological successor would upend decades of precedent, that when women could not be prosecuted as criminals for reproductive rights, a more ideological justice could eviscerate workers rights to organize for a fair wage and stretch the bounds of executive power of a president who demonstrated little respect for them.
